Competency framework

Clients requirements

To research, compose and implement a competency framework for leadership, teaching and associate staff across a large Academy Trust.

What we did

Worked with the Trust Head of HR, reviewed current practices; suggested competencies in line with professional standards and person specifications for posts.
Suggested core competencies in line with the Academy Trust development plan
Drafted a framework split into personal and technical competencies including core competencies for all posts with three levels.
Consulted with Trade Unions and staff on the framework
Implemented the framework

Outcome

The Trust rolled out the framework which is successfully being used for recruitment and performance management.
